Actor Randeep Hooda is also lending his support to the people in flood-ravaged regions of Upper Assam by joining hands with the Global Sikh Emergency Relief Team to offer on-ground help to the victims. While visiting the region, the actor also spoke about his thoughts about the reasons behind the recent flash floods and termed the event as "manmade," while speculating whether the mining activities around the borders of Assam and Nagaland might have something to do with the situation.

It is worth mentioning that the actor was unaware of whether the mining activity was legal or illegal. The reader should take into consideration the fact that it is only an opinion of the actor, while the actual reason for the flash flood is not officially known yet.

Randeep Hooda Joins Relief Operations

Randeep Hooda reached Assam and has been helping out in the relief work carried out by the Global Sikh Emergency Relief Team. The actor has been helping flood-affected families through humanitarian relief work in the worst hit regions of Upper Assam.

This latest development marks another addition to the ever-growing number of personalities lending a hand to flood-affected communities.

Actor Questions Mining Activities

While addressing the media, Hooda expressed that the flash floods were not triggered because of the Brahmaputra River. Rather, the actor pointed out that mining in the hills on the borders of Assam and Nagaland could have been responsible for the calamity.

The actor believes that mining could have made holes in the hills, leading to the collapse and flooding of a huge quantity of water in a short time, thus engulfing the tributaries around. He further revealed that he was unaware of the legality of such mining operations.

Cause Of Flood Yet To Be Officially Confirmed

Even though Hooda brought out his worries, there has been no official statement that confirms the link between mining operations and the flash floods. There has never been an official scientific statement which shows what exactly caused the disaster.

The statements brought by him should therefore be regarded as allegations and personal observations.

Relief Efforts Continue Across Assam

The relief and rehabilitation operations are ongoing in the flooded districts, where the concerned authorities, volunteers, and humanitarian organizations provide aid in the form of food, medicine, and other essential items to the affected families.

Some notable people too have lent their support by making donations and conducting awareness campaigns.
