Popular television actor Tanmay Vekaria, best known for playing Bagha in the hit sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is mourning the loss of his father, veteran Gujarati actor Arvind Vekaria. The news has left the Vekaria family and the Gujarati entertainment industry deeply saddened.

In the sitcom, Arvind portrayed a jeweller in a storyline involving Atmaram Bhide, played by Mandar Chandwadkar. During the episode, Bhide decides to mortgage his wife Madhavi’s jewellery due to financial difficulties and approaches the jeweller played by Arvind Vekaria.

Just days before his father’s demise, Tanmay Vekaria reportedly became emotional while filming a scene for the show. During the shoot, memories of his late mother overwhelmed him, causing him to break down on set. The production team briefly paused filming as colleagues and crew members offered support.
