The Indian box office witnessed an exciting clash of comedy, action, and horror this weekend as Dhamaal 4, Alpha, Welcome to the Jungle, and Evil Dead Burn battled for audience attention. While established releases continued their theatrical run, the latest arrivals significantly reshaped the box office rankings.
Ajay Devgn's Dhamaal 4 emerged as the biggest winner on Saturday, comfortably outperforming every other film currently playing in cinemas.
Dhamaal 4 Records Massive Jump on Day 2
After opening with an impressive ₹14 crore on Friday, Dhamaal 4 witnessed a strong surge in collections on its second day. According to industry estimates by Sacnilk, the comedy entertainer earned ₹22.50 crore on Saturday, taking its two-day domestic net total to ₹36.50 crore.
The film has benefited from positive audience response and weekend footfalls, putting it on track to cross the ₹50 crore mark by the end of Sunday.
Evil Dead Burn Shows Healthy Weekend Growth
Hollywood horror release Evil Dead Burn also experienced a notable increase in business on Saturday. After collecting just over ₹3 crore on its opening day in India, the film added ₹4.45 crore on Day 2.
Its total Indian box office collection now stands close to ₹8 crore, indicating that horror fans are turning out in good numbers despite the competition from major Bollywood releases.
Alpha Continues Its Run but Slows Down
Starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, the action thriller Alpha has been performing well since its release. However, after witnessing a dip on Friday, the film managed a modest recovery over the weekend.
On its ninth day in theatres, Alpha collected ₹2.25 crore, a figure that still remained below the Saturday earnings of Evil Dead Burn.
Although the pace has slowed, the film continues to add to its overall box office total.
Welcome to the Jungle Faces Tough Competition
The arrival of fresh releases has had the biggest impact on Welcome to the Jungle. The comedy entertainer saw its collections fall below the ₹2 crore mark for the first time during its theatrical run.
The film earned only ₹1.60 crore on Saturday, making it one of its weakest single-day performances so far.
