Popular Haryanvi actress and dancer Sapna Choudhary has received major relief from a Delhi court after approaching the judiciary over allegations of domestic violence and harassment in her marriage. The Dwarka Women’s Court in Delhi has granted interim protection to the actress and imposed strict restrictions on her husband, Yashveer Sahu, after reviewing the evidence submitted in the case.
Known for her energetic performances and massive fan following, Sapna is reportedly going through a difficult phase in her personal life. The actress claimed that she faced continuous mental and physical harassment after marriage, which forced her to seek legal protection under women’s safety laws.
Court Issues Strict Interim Protection Order
During the hearing, Judicial Magistrate Nidhi Singh passed an important interim order in Sapna Choudhary’s favor. According to the court’s directions, Yashveer Sahu has been barred from contacting Sapna through any medium until the next hearing in the matter.
The restrictions include phone calls, text messages, social media communication, and any other form of direct or indirect contact. The court also prohibited him from visiting Sapna’s residence, workplace, public appearances, film events, and premieres.
The order was issued after the court examined the seriousness of the allegations and the evidence presented by the actress.
Actress Forced to Leave Her In-Laws’ House
In her petition, Sapna Choudhary made several emotional allegations regarding her married life. She stated that she was subjected to repeated domestic violence and mental torture after marriage. According to her claims, the situation became unbearable, forcing her to leave her marital home along with her children.
At present, the actress is reportedly living at her parental home in Delhi’s Najafgarh area. She also expressed fear for her safety and informed the court that she believed there could be a threat to her life from her husband in the future.
Concern Over Film Premiere Security
Sapna Choudhary’s lawyer, Preeti Singh, presented an important argument before the court regarding the actress’s upcoming public appearance. The lawyer informed the judge that Sapna’s upcoming film ‘Momaku’ is scheduled for a grand premiere on June 10, where the actress is expected to attend as the lead star.
The legal team expressed concern that Yashveer Sahu might appear at the event and create disturbance or chaos. Taking the matter seriously, the court decided to extend protection measures to ensure the actress’s safety during public events as well.
Injury Photos and Audio Recordings Submitted as Evidence
During the proceedings, Sapna Choudhary’s legal team reportedly submitted several pieces of evidence before the court. These included photographs showing injuries allegedly caused during physical assault, legal documents, and audio recordings connected to the harassment claims.
After reviewing the submitted materials, the court acknowledged the seriousness of the case and granted interim protection to the actress.
The next hearing in this high-profile matter has been scheduled for July 25.
