Bollywood celebrity Salman Khan seems to have come forward to help the victims of the recent floods that have wreaked havoc in the Assam region. As per the latest reports, the actor has joined hands with one of his fan clubs in the state for a phased relief program through his philanthropic organization, Being Human. Although there has been no official statement issued from the part of Salman regarding this matter, the said relief effort has already begun in certain flood-affected areas.
As per reports, the said relief effort aims at giving relief to the families who are facing tough times after the floods. The first phase of the relief effort seems to involve distribution of food and other necessities.
Being Human Reportedly Begins Relief Campaign
Reports suggest that the first phase of Being Human’s relief mission in Assam has already begun. As per the reports, volunteers are handing out ready-to-eat food packets and other essential supplies to flood victims.
It has been reported that the relief mission was meticulously planned in different phases so that the relief activities could be continued even after the immediate period of distress.

It has been reported that the subsequent phases of the drive would involve the distribution of rations kits, medicine, drinking water, sanitary napkins, and mosquito repellent sprays. These are some of the materials that will assist in helping the families cope with the tough situation prevailing in the affected areas.
It seems that the program seeks to cater to the immediate and basic health needs of people who are recovering from the disaster.
