During the recently held Toxic trailer launch event, Nayanthara opened up about her decision to be part of the film. The actress revealed that she had to break some of her personal rules to take up the project.

Nayanthara Broke Her Rules for Toxic

Nayanthara is known for being selective about the projects she signs. The actress revealed that she usually remains cautious about films featuring a large ensemble cast. However, she decided to make an exception for Toxic after hearing director Geetu Mohandas' narration.

Nayanthara shared that she and Geetu Mohandas had previously worked together in a film around two decades ago. When Geetu approached her for Toxic, Nayanthara initially had doubts about taking up the project.

She explained that she was not immediately convinced because she tends to be very careful while choosing films with several prominent characters. Initially, she even told Geetu that she might not be interested in doing the movie.

However, Geetu asked her to listen to the complete story before making a decision. Once Nayanthara heard the narration, her perspective changed completely. She became intrigued by Geetu's vision and felt that the filmmaker had presented a story that deserved to be explored.
