Chaeyoung of TWICE has declared her exit from JYP Entertainment after being part of the company for 14 years. This news has been broken by the artist herself on Instagram as she expressed her desire to continue working as a solo artist independently but also continue as a TWICE member.
Chaeyoung Leaves JYP Entertainment After 14 Years
Chaeyoung was part of the JYP Entertainment trainee program since 2012 before debuting as a member of TWICE in October 2015. Chaeyoung is preparing to enter a new phase as a professional musician after staying with the company for 14 years. On her Instagram post, Chaeyoung thanked JYP Entertainment and the TWICE members for their support through her journey as an artist. Chaeyoung said that she is looking to build her music in her very own "Lil Fantasy."
Chaeyoung Plans To Build Her Own Music World
The recent path taken by Chaeyoung seems to have a link with Lil Fantasy, which was the name used to identify her first solo album release titled Lil Fantasy Vol. 1 in the month of September 2025. At the moment, it is not yet clear whether Lil Fantasy is an entertainment company or record label for Chaeyoung or not. At present, Chaeyoung has identified Lil Fantasy as her creative world where she will create her music further.

Chaeyoung Will Continue Activities With TWICE
Though she has left JYP Entertainment, Chaeyoung has made it clear that this doesn’t indicate that she is leaving TWICE. She will be actively involved in the activities of the group even while carrying on with her career independently. This follows shortly after another member of TWICE, Jeongyeon, left JYP Entertainment to sign with VARO Entertainment but still remains with TWICE.

What's Next For TWICE's Chaeyoung?
The move by Chaeyoung is a significant milestone in her career, since she will be able to control her solo music after spending over a decade with JYP Entertainment while still being in TWICE. For the fans, the best assurance is the fact that her dedication towards the group still remains the same. She wishes to create music for her fans through both Chaeyoung of TWICE and her solo artist name.
Final Take
Chaeyoung of TWICE will finally be starting on her own after 14 years at JYP Entertainment. Although her future endeavors will follow a different path under her Lil Fantasy concept, she will still carry on with TWICE, marking this a new beginning rather than an end for the girl group.
