Vishwanath & Sons Review: Emotional, Pleasant and Family-Friendly
However, the greatest strength of the movie Vishwanath & Sons is how it mixes up family emotions with a good sense of entertainment. Director Venky Atluri has ensured that the tone remains light throughout the film to let it transition smoothly from being a comedy film to an emotional one and vice versa.
The interaction between Sanjay and his mother is quite effective and the emotions around the child are the highlight of the film. Certain interactions among the family members do bring up some real emotions despite not going overboard at times. The screenplay is quite predictable and contains familiar elements. However, there is never a boring moment in the film thanks to the right pace and entertainment elements. Emotional aspects of the film make it feel wholesome.
Suriya and Mamitha Baiju Shine
Suriya looks trendy and poised in his avatar of Sanjay Vishwanath. He plays a dignified Sanjay Vishwanath and does not indulge in exaggeration. The emotional scenes of his are definitely among his good parts in the movie, especially when the movie goes on the line of family and fatherhood.
Another great addition to the movie is Mamitha Baiju. She brings in freshness in the movie with her natural energy and performs both light scenes and emotional scenes effortlessly. Her chemistry with Suriya also contributes to the romantic element of the movie. Radhikaa Sarathkumar puts in a commendable act as Sanjay's mother.

Music and Visual Appeal
The technical elements complement the film's sentimental theme. GV Prakash Kumar's musical background score enhances the sentimental segments of the movie without dominating them. The cinematographic element from Nimish Ravi gives the film an elegant look, even the parts that are filmed in the United States. The film's production value is very good, and the editing from Naveen Nooli moves the story forward. The fight scenes are handled in an elegant fashion too.
