BLACKPINK’s Lisa is back on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and this time she had plenty to talk about. From her latest single SaWaDiKa to her upcoming EP PRESS PLAY and documentary Always Lalisa, the singer opened up about the projects keeping her busy this year. Her latest appearance comes just weeks before the release of her new solo EP.

Lisa Talks About Her Upcoming EP PRESS PLAY

Lisa’s new EP PRESS PLAY is set to arrive on October 23. The six-track project is led by SaWaDiKa, which was released on September 3 and draws inspiration from the Thai greeting “sawasdee ka.”

During her conversation with Jimmy Fallon, Lisa described the EP as a reflection of her journey from her roots to where she is today. She also teased that every song has its own character and vibe, with the tracks coming together almost like a movie.

SaWaDiKa Brings Lisa’s Thai Roots Into Her Music

SaWaDiKa is more than just the first glimpse of PRESS PLAY. The track brings Thai influences into Lisa’s music, styling and choreography, giving the song a strong connection to her background.

Lisa has also been using the song as part of her latest solo promotions. With PRESS PLAY approaching, fans can expect to hear more about the remaining tracks in the coming weeks. She also revealed that the fourth track on the EP will be the next single and hinted that its title begins with the letter “T.”

Always Lalisa Looks Back At Lisa’s Solo Journey

Lisa also spoke about Always Lalisa, her upcoming documentary covering an important period of her career. Directed by Su Kim, the film follows her journey through 2024 and 2025, including the making of her Alter Ego album, her role in The White Lotus Season 3 and her preparations for Coachella.

The documentary premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month and is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on October 12. It will later arrive on YouTube Premium.

Lisa’s Solo Journey Continues Alongside BLACKPINK

Lisa’s busy solo schedule comes as she continues her work with BLACKPINK. After spending time focusing on individual projects, Lisa reunited with Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé for the group’s 2026 activities and the release of their mini-album DEADLINE.

Her latest Tonight Show appearance is another sign of how much her solo career has expanded. With SaWaDiKa already out, PRESS PLAY arriving in October and Always Lalisa heading to cinemas, Lisa has several major projects lined up while continuing her journey with BLACKPINK.
