Yash starrer Toxic is creating huge hype before its official release, as advance bookings for the film are reported to have achieved an important landmark on BookMyShow platform. The movie has managed to clock 1.33 million pre-sales and that too, in advance, beating the pre-sales tally of many big Indian movies such as Jana Nayagan, The GOAT, Jailer, Animal, Devara and Empuraan.
The positive reception has only added more hopes on the opening of the movie. With Yash having a huge fan base that has bought advance tickets, Toxic is said to be inching closer to the 1.5 million pre-sales figure.
Toxic Surpasses Major Releases In BookMyShow Pre-Sales

Based on the given statistics, Toxic has now surpassed the final pre-sales of some prominent films on BookMyShow. It has been claimed that Jana Nayagan has come to an end at about 1.18 million, and The GOAT and Jailer have both crossed the mark of 1.19 million.
It has even overtaken Animal at 1.26 million and Devara at 1.32 million. Having surpassed Empuraan at 1.33 million, Toxic has now achieved a whole new level before its release.
Yash-Starrer Reportedly Eyes ₹100 Crore Opening
The pre-booking rush has also raised expectations for an enormous opening day. It has been reported that Toxic has already collected ₹40 crore through pre-bookings; however, the actual figure can be subject to variation based on the source of the tracking and the duration of pre-booking.
If this trend persists in both domestic and international markets, the movie may have a shot at a worldwide opening collection of ₹100 crore. This would put Toxic in the ranks of big openings for Indian movies.

Karnataka Exhibitors Are Reportedly Prioritising Toxic

It seems like the biggest buzz is being generated in Karnataka, as Yash has an exceptionally strong fan following there. Apparently, more than 90% of theatre owners in the state have decided to give preference to Toxic, despite the presence of a number of other Kannada movies that are vying for the release slots.
The reported preference underlines the immense amount of expectations that surround the movie. Being a massive production from Kannada, Toxic is being marketed as a movie with global intentions.
Toxic’s Advance Booking Builds Pressure For A Historic Opening
With these increasing pre-sales, Toxic has become one of the highly anticipated upcoming releases at the box office. It is a feat in itself to have crossed the 1.33 million figure before the release, especially when comparing the figures of pre-sales of other highly anticipated films whose figures have been surpassed by Yash's film.
But advance tickets do not necessarily imply any kind of guaranteed opening, as box office performance depends upon many factors after the release of the film. At present, the huge anticipation regarding Yash's film arises from his fandom and pre-release buzz of the film. The biggest concern now is whether the film will be able to deliver the ₹100 crore worldwide opening being speculated by the trade circles.
