It has been reported that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has offered Kareena Kapoor Khan a vital role in an upcoming blockbuster movie featuring Dhanush. Reports have it that the film is a grand mythological jungle drama that will be co-produced by Bhansali and directed by Tamil director P.S. Mithran. If the deal gets finalized, it will signify an important comeback for Bhansali and Kareena as it has been more than 25 years since their last work together following the professional rift that occurred at the onset of Devdas.
Although there has been no official announcement from the producers regarding the cast, sources claim that Kareena is very keen on doing the movie. However, the details regarding pay, shooting schedule and others have not yet been sorted out.
Kareena Kapoor Reportedly Offered A Parallel Lead
As per industry sources, the untitled film boasts of a strong female protagonist, which carries equal weight as that of the lead played by Dhanush. Bhansali is said to be very particular about roping in Kareena Kapoor Khan in the said role, as he feels that only she can do justice to the character.
Despite the fact that Kareena is keen on doing the project, no official announcement has been made yet.
A Reunion After Nearly Twenty Five Years
This partnership is being discussed due to the fact that there have been many instances where Kareena and Bhansali could have worked together, but for some reason, this did not happen. It is also claimed that the tension in their professional relationship started when Kareena was in contention for the Devdas role, which finally went to Aishwarya Rai.
This partnership will end the talk of one of the most talked about gaps in Bollywood history.

Dhanush To Lead A Mythological Jungle Adventure
The movie is apparently being produced into a huge mythical adventure movie, which is supposed to take place in a thick jungle setting. Although the details about the story line remain a mystery so far, some sources report that the story is based on an elephant and mixes adventure with mythology.
National award winning actor Dhanush will apparently be playing the lead role in the movie, while P.S. Mithran, who has directed several movies including Irumbu Thirai, Hero and Sardar, will be directing the movie under Bhansali Production banner.
Official Announcement Still Awaited
However, even with the increasing popularity of the venture, neither Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions nor Kareena Kapoor Khan have made an official announcement regarding the casting.
Speculation aside, it is time for fans to wait and see whether the actress joins hands with Bhansali again after 20 years. Until then, the rumored casting is yet to be officially announced.
