Bigg Boss 20 contestant Rhiti Tiwari has found herself at the centre of a fresh controversy after Punjabi singer Ekam Bawa questioned her claim about receiving a monthly allowance of ₹20,000–₹25,000 from her father, Manoj Tiwari.
Rhiti had spoken about her financial struggles inside the house, saying she often had to manage her expenses carefully despite being the daughter of a well-known actor-politician. Ekam, who identifies himself as Rhiti’s mother Rani Tiwari’s former partner, has now challenged that account and made several claims about Rhiti’s alleged lifestyle.
Rhiti Tiwari’s ₹25,000 Allowance Claim Sparks Debate
During a recent Bigg Boss 20 conversation, Rhiti spoke about growing up after her parents’ separation and said she received around ₹20,000–₹25,000 every month as an allowance from Manoj Tiwari. She recalled eating inexpensive vada pav to manage her expenses and said she would sometimes put only ₹500 worth of diesel in her car.
Her comments quickly attracted attention online, with viewers questioning how someone from a prominent family could describe her financial situation in those terms. The discussion intensified after Ekam Bawa publicly responded to her claims.
Ekam Bawa Questions Rhiti’s Luxury Lifestyle Claims
In a video shared on social media, Ekam questioned how Rhiti could reportedly own expensive handbags and luxury cars while receiving the allowance she described. He alleged that she has handbags worth around ₹4–5 lakh and claimed that she owns luxury vehicles, including Range Rovers.
Ekam also questioned the cost of maintaining such vehicles and asked how those expenses could fit with Rhiti’s account of surviving on ₹25,000 a month. These statements are allegations made by Ekam and have not been independently verified.

Ekam Bawa Also Mentions Sports Business And Mumbai Properties

He also questioned the family's reported Mumbai properties, asking where the money for expensive flats came from. Again, these claims have not been independently verified, and neither Rhiti nor her mother had publicly responded to the allegations in the reports reviewed.

The financial controversy comes at a time when Rhiti is already receiving attention for her arguments inside the Bigg Boss 20 house.
