Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia are stepping into a world of folklore, faith and supernatural mystery with Vvaan: Force of the Forrest. The trailer, released on September 16, introduces a forbidden forest, an ancient temple and dark forces known as Bhuttakas. It also marks Sidharth and Tamannaah’s first film together, with the two actors playing a married couple caught in a mystery that appears to be connected to the forest’s past.
Vvaan Trailer Introduces A Forest Where Nobody Enters After Sunset
The trailer wastes little time establishing the biggest rule of the Vvaan universe: nobody is allowed to enter the forest after sunset. According to the legend shown in the film, those who enter the forest at night do not return alive.
Sidharth plays a city-bred man who initially appears sceptical of these stories. Tamannaah’s character, however, believes that the goddess herself has called them to the place. Their journey soon takes a supernatural turn as strange events begin unfolding around the forest temple.
Sidharth Malhotra Faces Bhuttakas And A Mystery From The Past
One of the biggest attractions in the trailer is the introduction of the Bhuttakas, described as dark forces of nature. The film appears to build its central mystery around these supernatural beings and the strange connection between Sidharth’s character and the forest.
After an accident leaves his character unconscious, the trailer hints that he somehow travels into the past. This experience seems to change his understanding of the forest and the forces surrounding it, turning what began as a land-related matter into something much more personal.

Tamannaah Bhatia’s Character Holds A Key To The Mystery
Tamannaah’s role is still largely under wraps, but the trailer shows her as Sidharth’s on-screen wife. Unlike him, she appears more willing to believe in the legends surrounding the forest and the Vvaan Devi temple.
She is also seen helping Sidharth understand the unusual connection he develops with the forest. Her character’s faith and belief in the goddess could become important as the story moves deeper into its supernatural mystery.
Vvaan Is Inspired By A Real Folklore From Bihar
The world of Vvaan draws inspiration from the folklore surrounding the 400-year-old Van Devi Temple in Bihta, Bihar. Writer Arunabh Kumar has spoken about hearing the temple’s legend from his mother and later visiting the location before developing the story for the film.
The movie also places Chhath Puja and the Vvaan Devi temple at the centre of its world, giving the fantasy story a strong connection to Indian folklore. Directed by Deepak Kumar Misra and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa Kapoor, Vvaan also stars Manish Paul, Shweta Tiwari, Sunil Grover and Anup Soni. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 25.
