Ranbir Kapoor Embraces The Responsibility Of Playing Lord Rama
The BTS video focuses on the importance of casting the right actor for a project like Ramayana, considering the deep faith and emotional connection audiences have with the epic. Ranbir explains that playing Lord Rama is not simply another film role for him but a responsibility.

Sai Pallavi Recalls Being Awestruck By Ranbir's Rama Look
Sai Pallavi, who portrays Sita, spoke about the image of Lord Rama she carried from childhood. She recalled imagining Rama as slender, with a slightly tilted head and a bow, alongside a petite Sita.
Seeing Ranbir in the final look brought that childhood image back for her. Her reaction in the BTS video underlines how the actor's transformation made the character feel real on the set. Sai Pallavi's comments have since become one of the most talked-about moments from the newly released footage.

The BTS footage also offers glimpses of the enormous preparation behind the film. International action director Terry Notary has trained Ranbir for the film's action sequences, while stunt professionals from around the world have been brought in for the project.
Producer Namit Malhotra has assembled Indian and international creative talent through Prime Focus Studios, DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations. The production is aiming to combine advanced filmmaking techniques with the cultural and emotional foundation of the epic.
Ranbir, Sai Pallavi And Yash Lead The Two-Part Epic
Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, with Sunny Deol playing Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The ensemble also includes Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi and Kunal Kapoor, among others.
The film is planned as a two-part franchise. Part 1 is scheduled for a worldwide release during Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 during Diwali 2027. The films are planned in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, with a worldwide IMAX release also planned.
