The Lock Upp Season 2 finale has seen the show’s winner's prize become one of the major topics in the world of reality TV. Apart from crowning a new winner in the second season of Lock Upp, the show has awarded the highest amount of cash in the history of the franchise.

This was a significant change as compared to the first season as the amount of prize money doubled. This is how much the winner's prize was in both seasons of Lock Upp and who won the title.

Lock Upp Season 2 Winner Prize

The winner of Lock Upp Season 2 bagged the top prize money of ₹1 crore, apart from the trophy for the winner. The grand finale witnessed the triumph of content creator Shreya Kalra over television actress Shivangi Joshi to emerge victorious after many weeks of stiff competition and drama in the game.

The prize money of ₹1 crore is the largest sum ever paid out by Lock Upp till date in its entire history, thus making Lock Upp Season 2 the most rewarding season so far.

Lock Upp Season 1 Winner Prize

The first season of Lock Upp came to an end in 2022 with Munawar Faruqui winning the show as the champion. In addition to the award, he won ₹25 lakh and a car as well.

Munawar winning the show was one of the most sensational highlights of that season, which was anchored by Kangana Ranaut and had many popular personalities on board.

Prize Money Increased Four Times

One of the major differences between the two seasons is that there was a tremendous increment in the amount of money awarded to the winner. While in season 1, the winner was awarded ₹25 lakh, in season 2, the total prize money was increased by ₹75 lakh to a total of ₹1 crore.

This higher prize money was due to the popularity of the show amongst viewers.
