The upcoming Korean mystery thriller Final Interview has released its second poster and trailer, offering a closer look at the intense psychological battle awaiting six job applicants. Starring Cho Yi Hyun, Kim Jae Won, Kang You Seok, Shin Seung Ho, Kwak Dong Yeon and Bae Gang Hee, the film follows candidates who reach the final stage of a highly competitive recruitment process. Their hopes of securing the same job quickly collapse when mysterious envelopes containing secrets about each of them appear in the interview room.

Final Interview Trailer Turns A Job Interview Into A Psychological Battle

The trailer begins on a relatively hopeful note as the six applicants prepare together for their final interview. After spending a month working on a team discussion, they have grown close and even imagine that all of them might make it through.

That optimism disappears when they discover that the final task requires them to decide which one of the six should be hired. The appearance of mysterious envelopes containing revelations about each candidate immediately changes the atmosphere, turning the interview into a battle of suspicion and self-preservation.

Cho Yi Hyun, Kim Jae Won And Others Hide Their Own Secrets

The six characters have very different personalities, which adds another layer to the mystery. Cho Yi Hyun plays Hye In, an observant candidate who warns the others about opening the envelopes, while Kim Jae Won plays Jin Woo, an idealist who immediately suspects that the situation is a trap.

Shin Seung Ho portrays Seung Bin, an action-oriented leader who wants everyone to reveal what they know. Kang You Seok plays mediator Hee Chan, who tries to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Kwak Dong Yeon takes on strategist Yo Han and Bae Gang Hee plays perfectionist Joo Won.

Mysterious Envelopes Push The Six Candidates Against Each Other

The central mystery begins when each applicant discovers an envelope bearing a candidate's name and containing a damaging revelation. As the secrets start coming out, trust between the six quickly disappears.

The trailer shows the applicants accusing one another and questioning when the lies began. They also attempt to protect their own envelopes while trying to discover what is hidden inside the others. The mystery eventually expands beyond the job competition, with the candidates beginning to wonder whether someone among them is responsible for the entire situation.

Final Interview Promises A Tense Closed-Room Mystery

Directed by Kim Jung Hoon, Final Interview uses the pressure of an extremely competitive job market as the foundation for its thriller story. Earlier promotional material established that the candidates have overcome odds of around 5,000 to 1 to reach the final stage, where only one person can ultimately be selected.

The film is scheduled to hit South Korean theatres on November 4 and has also been invited to the Panorama section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival. With its six-character setup, hidden secrets and rapidly changing relationships, the new trailer sets up a mystery where nobody appears completely trustworthy.
