What History Says About Vithabai
According to historical accounts, after giving birth during a performance, the show was actually paused to allow her proper rest. Vithabai was deeply respected for her contribution to Maharashtra’s traditional folk art forms.
Born into a family of performers in Pandharpur, she belonged to the renowned Bhau-Bapu Mang Narayangaonkar troupe, founded by her grandfather Narayan Khude. Growing up in a rich cultural environment, she was trained in Lavani, Gavlan, and Bhendik styles, which helped her become one of the most celebrated figures in Tamasha tradition.

Filming Locations and Authentic Setting
To maintain authenticity, Eetha has been shot across multiple locations in Maharashtra, including Madh Island (Mumbai), Solapur, Aundhewadi, Satara, Nashik, and Bhor. The filmmakers have aimed to recreate the cultural depth and realism of the era.
Release Date
Eetha is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 28 August 2026. Currently, the teaser is being showcased exclusively in cinemas and is expected to be officially released online soon.
