Vishal Mishra introduces the rich culture of Bhojpuri through his recent composition 'Chhathi Maiya', the newest addition to the movie song album of Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest. Published under the banner of Zee Music Company, the song combines music, devotion and culture of Bihar and Purvanchal.
Talking about the new composition, Vishal Mishra says that the song is one more step in the right direction for bringing recognition to Bhojpuri music. The composition also enriches the cultural aspect of the fantasy world created by The Vvaan.
Vishal Mishra Brings Bhojpuri Music Into Hindi Cinema
With Chhathi Maiya, Vishal Mishra aims to showcase Bhojpuri language and culture to a wider Hindi-speaking audience. The singer-composer has emphasised that Bhojpuri represents much more than a language, describing it as connected to the soil, traditions, folk culture and identity of Bihar and Purvanchal.
The song follows his earlier work Chhathi Maiya Bulaye and continues his effort to bring regional musical influences into larger mainstream projects.
Tamannaah Bhatia Brings Chhath Puja To The Screen
In the teaser of Chhathi Maiya, Tamannaah Bhatia gets an important role to play as she is seen wearing a red saree when performing the sequence of Chhath Puja near a river. It is through visuals that the spiritual aspect of the movie “The Vvaan” is shown linking its fantasy world with cultural traditions.
In fact, Tamannaah has herself talked about getting ready for the sequence as she learnt about the importance of the Chhath Puja and the process of conducting the puja in Bihar and Patna.

Chhathi Maiya Adds A Spiritual Layer To The Vvaan
The song is not just a single musical piece but is one part of the folk inspired world of The Vvaan. Fantasy, adventure, mystery, love, and humor are elements that form part of this film's plot. The Indian folklore has played a major role in the movie's plot.
The Chhathi Maiya Song was composed by Vishal Mishra, whose lyrics were written by Kaushal Kishore, while Chinni Prakash choreographed it.
Sidharth Malhotra And Tamannaah Bhatia's The Vvaan Arrives In September
Vvaan: Force of the Forrest is the first collaboration of Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia on screen. This movie has been directed by Deepak Mishra and has been written by Arunabh Kumar. It has been produced by Balaji Motion Pictures along with TVF and 11:11 Productions.
The release date of this movie has been set for September 25, 2026. Through Samjho Na, which showcases the romantic aspect of the movie, and Chhathi Maiya, which shows its spiritual and folklore nature, the makers are slowly unfolding the mysteries of this movie
