The ceremony also involved sacred water and mantras associated with the body's seven chakras. The pregnant woman is symbolically viewed as a representation of feminine power and creation.

Following the abhishekam, another important part of the ceremony involved the Sri Chakra Yantra. Samantha explained that the mother-to-be is traditionally seated at the centre of the Sri Chakra during this part of the ritual.
The Sri Chakra consists of nine coverings, which are traditionally associated with different stages of spiritual progression. During the ceremony, the Devi Khadgamala was recited while invoking the divine energies associated with these coverings.
