Prabhas fan following would be put through more time for watching Fauzi because the much-anticipated period action movie has been put off. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the movie was originally supposed to hit theaters on December 3, 2026. But Y Ravi Shankar, the producer of the film, has revealed that there has been a delay, although the new date has not been announced yet.
The delay in the release has come due to the fact that the team is working on the big budget movie which takes place in pre-Independence era and where Prabhas plays the part of a soldier. Though this might be bad news for the fans of Prabhas, the producer has reassured the audience that the extra time will help them make a bigger film.
Fauzi Release Date Postponed, New Date Yet To Be Announced
Producer Ravi Shankar announced the delay while addressing the pre-release event of Nani’s The Paradise on September 21. He offered an apology for delaying the movie, but also pointed out that the team required some additional time for completion of the movie.
Fauzi was initially fixed for December 3, 2026. This movie was supposed to hit screens right before Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma and Dulquer Salmaan’s Sri Sri, who had their release date set for December 4. Now that Fauzi has been shifted from its scheduled date, there will be a new announcement about the release date.
Producer Says Prabhas Looks Grandest Since Baahubali
Ravi Shankar has also set some high expectations from a statement he made regarding Prabhas’s look in the film. Ravi Shankar called Fauzi a "next-level movie", adding that Prabhas looked really good in the movie since Baahubali films.
Producer also said that the film was being shot on a huge budget and requested the audience to give them time to complete the production process. The statement clearly shows that the makers were considering their extra time as a boon to present their project on the scale they wanted.

Prabhas Plays A Soldier In Hanu Raghavapudi’s Period Drama
This movie is the first joint venture between Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi, the director of Sita Ramam. The plot is set in the era of the British raj and features both period action and a romantic story line.
Prabhas will be playing the role of a soldier and Imanvi Esmail will make her acting debut as the heroine of the film. Other actors in the cast include Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Jaya Prada and Sajjad Delafrooz.
Fauzi Could Now Arrive In 2027
While there have been claims that the film Fauzi can shift to the early months of 2027, even January, the production house has yet to announce any other release date. At this point, it is known that the film, which was earlier set to release in December 2023, has been delayed.
For the time being, it is left for the fans to see when the producers decide on releasing the film. Being a period drama and having Prabhas as a soldier, Fauzi is among the important future films of the actor.
