System Story Overview
The story follows Neha Rajvansh (Sonakshi Sinha), a privileged public prosecutor trying to prove herself outside the shadow of her influential lawyer father Ravi Rajvansh (Ashutosh Gowariker).
Her life takes a turn for the better as she meets Sarika Rawat (Jyotika) who is a court room typist belonging to an entirely different socio-economic background. In spite of all the differences between the two, they gradually start working with each other in solving an intricate case.
As the investigation deepens, the film explores class divide, justice and whether truth can survive inside a system controlled by influence and privilege. The rest of the story focuses on how Neha and Sarika challenge the legal system while confronting their own personal struggles.

Jyotika and Sonakshi Sinha fit their roles perfectly and give solid performances.
The biggest Letdown is the film is severely dragged down by an underwhelming screenplay.

System Review: Strong Performances Keep the Film Engaging
The biggest strength of System is its performances. Sonakshi Sinha delivers one of her more controlled and mature performances in recent years, portraying Neha with confidence and emotional depth.
Jyotika is equally impressive and brings warmth and realism to Sarika’s character. The chemistry between the two actors becomes the emotional backbone of the film. The film works best during its quieter emotional moments rather than the courtroom confrontations.
But the screenplay lacks energy in many instances. Even though there is great promise at the start, the film does not provide the intense experience that a movie in the legal drama genre should offer. There are many instances where the courtroom scenes become monotonous.
The climax also feels less impactful than it should have been.
Ashutosh Gowariker Leaves a Strong Impact
Ashutosh Gowariker performs well as the powerful lawyer and father figure. His screen presence adds weight to several scenes, especially during the emotional family confrontations.
The supporting cast also fits naturally into the serious tone of the film.

"System's biggest triumph lies in how human it feels. The legal proceedings and social commentary keep happening. But at its core, it is a story about emotional survival. It is a story about women trying to retain dignity inside structures that continuously and… pic.twitter.com/e45qJ6gbFz
Music and Visual Tone
The film maintains a grounded and realistic visual style throughout. The courtroom atmosphere feels believable without becoming overly dramatic.
Background music continues to be very low-key and effective in enhancing the emotive aspects. Nevertheless, some people could claim that the movie lacks visual intensity that would make it a thrilling courtroom drama.

- Predictable Writing
- Repetitive Courtroom Scenes

Final Verdict
System is a movie with strong emotional appeal as a legal thriller and succeeds on the basis of its performances alone. Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika excel in their roles, rendering a few emotional sequences quite powerful.
While the screenplay and pacing weaken the overall impact, the performances and social themes still make the film watchable.
Rating: 3/5
Overall, System is a decent courtroom drama that shines through its performances more than its writing.
