Finally, Supergirl is here in cinemas, and the first round of reactions from the audience is getting its share of media attention. This DC movie stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, while Jason Momoa and David Corenswet will play Lobo and Superman respectively. It’s directed by Craig Gillespie and brings in a brand-new take on the iconic character who is emotionally vulnerable and tough at the same time.
Although some critics expressed mixed views, fans of the movie on X (formerly known as Twitter) are lauding Milly Alcock’s performance and how emotional and action-packed the movie is. Nevertheless, a few people found the script and pacing to be a bit weak.
So I ended up watching Supergirl. It’s decent. Milly while not my first choice did give a fine performance, although I still feel she’s kinda miscast. Momoa as lobo was great.

The young actress who portrayed Ruthye was good. Enjoyed the Superman & Krypton scenes. Didn’t care… pic.twitter.com/zlsFUklutl

The rest of the story explores revenge, hope and Kara's journey to becoming the hero she is destined to be.
Supergirl Twitter Review: Milly Alcock Wins Big
The main point of discussion on social media platforms is the acting of Milly Alcock. It has been observed that people feel she has done justice to the character of Kara in terms of emotions along with strength and confidence of the superhero. Her acting has been considered to be one of the best in James Gunn's DC Universe movie.
The fight scenes have also been complimented for their scale and special effects. While the movie is dark and has its elements of fun and drama, there are people who are not fully satisfied with it. Some think that the plot of the movie is following a traditional hero movie script, whereas some think that it is slow in the middle.
Well I was pleasantly surprised with Supergirl. The reviews were mixed so I went in without high expectations but I had a good time.

ALSO, I think it’s really good marketing to be handing out issue 1 when you show up at the theater. pic.twitter.com/dRRYXf6MJ7

I did enjoy it with these great performances, but ADDING generic action, unnecessary editing and without a doubt the worst villain in all CBM, unfortunately this film will be Super-Forgettable. pic.twitter.com/pJckBidBjx
