Shraddha Kapoor's upcoming biographical musical drama Eetha has unveiled a new poster, offering another look at the actress as legendary Marathi folk performer Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. Released on October 28, 2026, the promotional artwork highlights the character's deep connection with dance and traditional performance.
The makers have also confirmed that the film's official trailer will arrive on October 30. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Eetha explores the life of the celebrated Lavani and Tamasha artist and is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 4, 2026.
Eetha New Poster Shows Shraddha Kapoor Holding Ghungroos
The newly released Eetha poster presents Shraddha Kapoor in a striking traditional appearance, drawing attention to her transformation into Vithabai. In one promotional image, the actress wears a vibrant yellow saree while holding a cluster of ghungroos against her face, leaving only one eye visible. Another image features her in a red saree, standing with a serious expression as people around her applaud.
The visuals focus on the character's connection with the stage rather than conventional glamorous presentation. The makers introduced the poster with the Hindi line, "घुंघरू जिसकी पूजा और माय-बाप जिसके भगवान, ईठा! उस तूफ़ान का नाम!" The caption reflects the importance of dance, artistic dedication and respect for audiences in the film's central character.
Shraddha Kapoor Plays Lavani Legend Vithabai Narayangaonkar
Eetha is inspired by the life of Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar, one of Maharashtra's most celebrated Tamasha and Lavani performers. Known for her powerful stage presence, Vithabai became an important figure in Marathi folk entertainment. Her career was shaped by artistic dedication, public recognition and considerable personal struggles.
The upcoming film aims to bring her journey to a wider audience through a biographical musical narrative. For Shraddha Kapoor, the role marks a shift from her recent mainstream entertainers, placing traditional performance and a real-life artist's experiences at the centre of the story. The new posters suggest that costumes, ghungroos and stage performances will be important elements of the film's visual storytelling.
